Dubai, UAE — 28 January 2026 — Kaelo Global today announces that its Dubai headquarters has achieved verified carbon neutral status for Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions for the calendar year 2025.
The certification, verified by an independent third-party auditor, was achieved through a combination of operational efficiency improvements — including transition to 100% renewable electricity procurement, installation of energy-efficient lighting and HVAC systems, and implementation of a comprehensive waste reduction programme — and the purchase of Tier 1 engineered carbon removal credits certified to the Puro Standard.
“Carbon neutrality for our own operations is the minimum credible position for a firm that advises clients on ESG strategy and sustainable finance,” said Kaelo’s Head of ESG Advisory. “We have deliberately chosen engineered removal credits rather than nature-based offsets to align with the highest-integrity standards in the voluntary carbon market. Our next target is Scope 3 reduction across our supply chain and business travel by 30% by 2028.”
Kaelo’s Scope 1 emissions — primarily from office HVAC systems — totalled 12.4 tonnes CO2e. Scope 2 emissions from electricity consumption totalled 45.8 tonnes CO2e. The combined 58.2 tonnes were offset through the retirement of verified engineered carbon removal credits.
