Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember something about your visit, and some of them measure how the site is used. Cookies that remember your preferences as you move between pages, such as dismissing a notice or the settings you choose in the accessibility panel. They do not identify you as an individual.
Anonymised, aggregated analytics that measure how the site is used, so that we can improve it. We use this to understand pages and journeys rather than to build a profile of you. Where we use a third-party analytics service, network addresses are anonymised before they are stored.
We do not show advertising on this website. We do advertise on Google, and if you choose "Accept all", Google's advertising tags set cookies (such as _gcl_au and _gcl_aw) that tell us which of our ads led to your visit or enquiry. If you choose "Analytics only" or "Decline", they are not set. Wherever we can, the measurement is done on our own server, which means less is stored in your browser.
When you arrive from one of our adverts or campaign links, our server sets one cookie of its own, called kaelo_keeper. It is set whatever you choose in the cookie banner, because its only use is to credit an enquiry you send us to the advert or campaign that brought you. It holds the advertising click and campaign details from that link and the page it opened. If another website sent you, it also holds that website's name. It is signed, so it cannot be altered, and scripts on the page cannot read it. When you send us an enquiry, these details are kept with it in Kaelo Suite, our own customer system, whatever your choice. Google receives the click only if you choose "Accept all", and only with an enquiry you send us. No other company receives it. The cookie expires after 90 days, and you can remove it sooner by clearing this site's cookies in your browser.
You choose when you first visit, and you can change your choice at any time from "Cookie settings" at the foot of every page. You can also accept, reject or adjust cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or clear cookies that have already been set. Blocking some cookies will affect how parts of this site behave, and we would rather say that plainly than pretend everything keeps working.
Where a service from another company is embedded in a page, such as a video player or a font service, that service may set its own cookies under its own policy. We keep the number of embedded services small, and we review them when we update the site.
We review this policy once a year and whenever the cookies we use change. The date shown at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
