Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

Hiring discipline across five offices and five countries of manufacturing. Specific, operational, not performative.

What this service is

Kaelo Global operates from five offices across four continents and from manufacturing facilities in five Asian countries. The diversity of the operating team is structural — not aspirational. The discipline below describes how we hire, how we promote, and how we hold ourselves accountable for the working culture inside the enterprise. We do not publish demographic dashboards as marketing material.

“A diverse operating team is the outcome of hiring discipline applied honestly. A demographic dashboard is the marketing artefact of pretending to have done the work.”

— An Operating Council member

What we are accountable for

Where the work lands.

  1. 01

    Hiring discipline

Hiring sits with the operating divisions, on a documented evidence-of-work standard. Recruiter-led mass-application processes are not used. Decisions are written down.

  2. 02

    Promotion & progression

Quarterly written reviews. Senior moves are made on the work, not on tenure. Lateral moves between divisions are encouraged and supported.

  3. 03

    Compensation discipline

Pay bands documented; benchmarked against the local market; revisited annually. Gender-pay differentials are reviewed internally and acted on in writing.

  4. 04

    Working-culture accountability

Grievances are reviewed independently of operating management. Findings documented. The discipline is the same that governs any other operating risk inside the enterprise.

How we engage

From first email to standing review.

  1. 01

    Evidence-based hiring

Decisions are documented against evidence of work, not against credential or pedigree. Recruiter-led mass-application processes are not used; see Careers for the process detail.

  2. 02

Promotion on work, not on tenure

Quarterly written reviews, named principal accountability for each progression decision. Lateral moves between divisions are encouraged where the operating fit is genuine.

  3. 03

    Compensation discipline

Pay bands documented, benchmarked annually against local market, reviewed for gender-pay differentials. Findings acted on in writing rather than reported externally.

  4. 04

    Independent grievance review

Working-culture concerns are reviewed independently of the operating team in question. The Whistleblower Policy documents the formal channel; informal concerns are routed to a named senior principal outside the chain.

When to call us

The shape of the moment this work usually arrives in.

  1. 01

You are joining Kaelo and need clarity on the working-culture standards before commitment.

  2. 02

You are a counterparty whose own DEI framework requires evidence from upstream operating partners.

  3. 03

You are a member of staff or partner needing to raise a working-culture concern through the independent channel.

  4. 04

You are an analyst or journalist with a documented purpose for understanding the DEI discipline.

Operating principle

We do not publish DEI metrics as marketing.

The discipline runs internally. The annual review documents it for the Operating Council. Public-facing metrics are not in the operating model.

Operating principle

A diverse operating team is the operating outcome we work towards, not a marketing input.

Kaelo operates from five offices on four continents, with manufacturing in five Asian countries. The diversity is structural. We do not need to advertise it; it is what running the operation honestly produces.

For clarity

What we will not do here.

  • We do not publish demographic dashboards. The internal discipline is documented annually; external publication would be marketing, not measurement.
  • We do not run quota-based hiring. The evidence-of-work standard applies to every role.
  • We do not retain individuals whose conduct breaches the working-culture standard, regardless of their commercial value to the firm.
  • We do not advertise DEI policies as a recruitment marketing line. The discipline is operating; the messaging is internal.

Frequently asked

The questions that arrive first.

01 Does Kaelo publish DEI metrics?
Internally, yes — reviewed annually by the Operating Council and documented in the Annual Review. Externally, no — we treat the operating discipline as the measure rather than the broadcast.
02 How is hiring run across the divisions?
Hiring sits with each operating division rather than with a central HR function. The standard is documented evidence of work; the discipline is the same regardless of which division is hiring. Process detail on Careers.
03 How is pay equity managed?
Pay bands documented per role family, benchmarked against local market, reviewed annually for gender-pay differentials. Where adjustments are warranted, they are made in writing rather than discussed externally.
04 How do you handle grievances?
Through an independent channel outside the operating chain of the matter raised. See Whistleblower Policy. The discipline is non-retaliation and documented investigation.
05 Does Kaelo participate in DEI rankings or awards?
No. The rankings we have evaluated do not measure the operating reality we run on; participation would be marketing rather than evidence.
06 How does this connect to the broader compliance framework?
DEI discipline sits inside the wider Compliance & Ethics framework. Working-culture standards, grievance handling and non-retaliation policy are reviewed by the same committee.
